Basic Life Support (BLS)

Basic Life Support (BLS) is a fundamental level of medical care used in emergency situations to maintain a person’s airway, breathing, and circulation until advanced medical help arrives.

In BLS training, participants learn how to:

  • Perform high-quality CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) for adults, children, and infants
  • Use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) safely and effectively
  • Recognize cardiac arrest, choking, and respiratory emergencies
  • Provide basic airway management and rescue breathing
  • Respond quickly and confidently in life-threatening situations

The main goal of BLS is:
👉 “Keep the patient alive until advanced care is available.”

It is essential for healthcare providers, first responders, and even the general public, as early intervention can significantly increase survival rates.
